Biography

Dr. Kumar Abhishek is a graduate of Government Medical College, Patiala. He pursued his MS General Surgery from DMCH Ludhiana after which he completed his Senior Residency from GMCH, Sector 32 Chandigarh from 2010-2013. Because of his keen interest in Laparoscopic surgery, he went to Sunrise Hospital, Kochi for Fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery under the guidance of Dr. R. Padmakumar. He has also completed a course in Laparoscopic Colorectal surgery at Gem Hospital, Coimbatore. He further joined GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Surgery in 2015 and worked in the same capacity till December 2019. He is well verse with the use of latest technologies like Laser treatment for various general surgical procedures in proctology and vascular diseases. He has many national and international publications to his credit.
